52-year-old Karen Wakefield from Manchester is sure that in her house for 13 years, a ghost named Malcolm lives. For 13 years, this ghost has been ranting and frightening the residents of the house. Especially often he breaks the photo frames and slams the doors. Over the years, Karen has become so used to the otherworldly creature in her house that now even leaves a special postcard for Malcolm with congratulations for Christmas.
But in his pranks Malcolm's ghost had already come to imitate the voice of Karen Paul Dawson's friend. One day his voice asked Karen to go downstairs to the first floor, but when Karen did it right away, there was no one downstairs and Paul's car was not there either (he had previously left on it).
The name of the ghost Karen learned with the help of a board for spiritualistic sessions, it is also a board of Wija.With the help of the board she also learned that Malcolm died in 1858 at the age of 57 years.

"I'm still afraid to be alone in the house," says Karen. "But I'm already getting used to his presence and almost ready to accept Malcolm as a member of my family." I even made a Christmas card for him with congratulations from all of us. And I talk to him when he starts to be capricious and naughty, this is the best thing to do, he likes to communicate with people. When guests come to me, he turns on the kettle for them.
Karen, from childhood, felt connected with the world of spirits, she describes herself growing up in a house where she often heard mysterious knocks, punches and steps when there was no one else in the house. When she grew up, she changed several houses, where there was no paranormal activity. And then in 2004 she moved to this house in Manchester and immediately realized that there was something abnormal.
The house in which Karen lives, was built in 1930 and it could not have been the house where Malcolm originally lived. But Karen is sure that before Malcolm lived in another building, which stood side by side and which had long been demolished.

- Sometimes I can hear strange sounds, sometimes I come to the kitchen, and there all the drawers and doors of the lockers are open, and all their contents are lying on the floor. One day someone yanked me by the robe, I turned around, and there was no one around. One day the door in my room slammed and fell off the hinges and I felt frightened, as if someone were looking at me. I immediately put the door so as to close the passage.
- When I had a dog, she growled at someone and then rushed up. I was very frightened and I had to call a friend and ask her to come and stay with me. She at first thought that I was joking, and then she heard a strange clank of the dishes from the other room.
After the incident with the door, the ghost died down, but when Karen's friend Paul Dawson moved to live in his house, he also acquired a paranormal experience, although before that he was a great skeptic. When he watched the movie in the evening, he suddenly saw something flashing on the screen over the image of the film, and there was also a strange whistle. Then Paul told Karen that he "met her ghost friend".
In an attempt to understand what is happening, Karen invited a group of enthusiasts to investigate the paranormal phenomena. They managed to photograph on the stairs a strange dark shadow.
Karen has a 16-year-old daughter, Madison, but whether she had paranormal contacts with the ghost, nothing is written.
"I understand that it's hard to believe in all this," says Karen. "But many of my friends who do not believe in ghosts and other paranormalism after visiting my house say that there is some kind of energy here.
